Informant als companys de feina...

Hi all,

As some of you already know, next 3rd of July and for a full month I’ll be in Zambia with 10 Irish Camara volunteers in order to teach basic computer and specialized IT skills to African teachers and students (Linux, Networking, PC Maintenance, OpenOffice...) Yeahhhhh! Just 9 days left…

In short, Camara is an Irish organization located in Dublin and staffed primarily by volunteers to enhance the education system in Africa by using Irish technology resources. Mainly and during all the year we take in second hand computers that have been discarded by Irish organization and individuals, refurbish them and send them to schools in Ethiopia, Kenya, Lesotho, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania and Zambia, where 80 volunteers will go this July. It costs Camara €50 to securely wipe, refurbish, clean, pack and transport a computer to Africa but even so more than 11.000 computers has already been refurbished and shipped and 276 schools has been established with computer labs. Blablabla, blablabla… More info: http://www.camara.ie/

Ahhhhh!!! Every Africa Project volunteer is required to fundraise and cover the costs of their time abroad (airline travel, insurance, lodging, transportation, vaccines, etc.) and that means to raise 2500 €. Yeahhhhhhh, Yeahhhhhhh!!! This is a difficult task but it didn’t stop me to get involved in this worthy cause, so…if some of you want to help me cover all costs I’ve created my personal fundraising website and any donation no matter how small is hugely appreciate. Also, I’ve created a personal blog for my family and friends and I’ll try to upload interesting pictures from Zambia. Feel free to have a look without any commitment! :)
